TYPES | Genre of Journals

  • Dreams
    • With this, you may record dreams that you've had from the good ones to the nightmares.
  • Art Sketchbook/Scrapbook
    • If you are more inclined to draw or to try doodling, this type of journal is great! Try finding a journal that is not lines (sketchbooks at a hobby store). You can also add photos, too!
  • Family
    • This is great to have your family be involved! You may write any family councils or have turns writing in the journal every day of the week.
  • Inspirational
    • Love philosophy or famous quotes? Or have a lot of wisdom to bestow to humanity? Inspirational journals are great for that and one day, when we look back, we can read you fantastic advice!
  • Hobby/Interests
    • Whether you love gardening or mediation, sports or fashion, record your interests and hobbies in a journal. After all, future generations would like to learn who you are and what life was like for you!
  • Projects
    • Got a big project you'd like to share thoughts and progress on? Keeping a project journal will help with that!
  • Reading/Movie Reviews
    • How was the book/movie? Good, bad, okay?
  • Gratitude
    • What are the things you are grateful for? Keeping this cheery type of journal will show how much blessings you have.
  • Freewriting
    • You write whatever comes to mind, need I say more?
  • Travelling
    • From going to Europe to hiking in that canyon or woods by your home, record what that experience (or experiences) was like for you in a travel journal!
