Journal are time capsules that keep memories alive!
Now journals are not exclusive for a certain group of people like only writers, teen girls, and high ranking people who drink wine at a magnificent mansion. Journals are for all who want to either do it for fun, family history, or other reasons.
I personally write in a journal for therapeutic reasons and just a place to rant and "talk" to without getting a sassy reply back.
One time I even bought two composition notebooks and gave them to my younger brother for his birthday. Last I heard, he was still using it as a journal.
Thankfully, we don't read each other's journal and have that respect and trust and a journal is a special and personal thing.
Journals are amazing as they capture you at a time and it is a way to remember you at that time in the past!
Looking back once in an old journal I had written in elementary school, one journal entry I had in terrible penmanship was about my little sister. Basically, it read something along the lines of "I had a good day at school! I have to go now, my baby sister is crying. Bye." It was simple, but seeing it written in a 10-year-old handwriting is very telling of how much more I've progressed as a writer.
Question of the day:
How has writing in a journal improved you?
Till next time, write on!
